Young upstarts Freddie and Beck came up with a one pager, and together we turned it into this: a Christmas campaign with 33 assets including OOH, films, social teasers, social post-launch, a B2B launch, and even an office lobby takeover. Christmas Crackers have been pulled in Britain for 175 years. And most of the jokes inside them are just as old. Meanwhile, AI has become a theme, even a trope, in advertising and in culture over the last year. By employing AI to write new cracker jokes, we were able to breathe fresh life into an ageing medium, while satirising something that’s ripe for a bit of a send up.
